Getting Your Pomeranian To Walk On A Loose Leash

I wanted to teach my Pomeranian to walk nicely on the leash; so, I filled my pockets with treats and headed outside.
The leash was held in my hand and against my stomach for support. If my Pomeranian strained against the leash, I would refuse to move.
It didn't matter what he did to lessen the tension, as long as the leash became slack again I would treat him and we would continue walking.
I repeated this process over and over again on our walks, until my Pomeranian soon understood that a loose leash meant we could walk farther without stopping.
